We would highly recommend staying at Il Roseto. The suite on the top floor with its own balcony was spectacular, the swimming pool and garden area were beautiful, and we fully enjoyed the warm hospitality of the host, Massimo.
We stayed for three nights in Il Roseto. Right from the start Massimo made us feel very welcome. After some deliberation we upgraded to the top suite. This is definitely something i would recommend. The suite is large, but beware for the low ceilings, you might bump your head. The terrace is amazing, peace and quite with an exquisite view of Assisi. Especially at night, the whole town lights up and you can relax under the stars.
Massimo is a true host, always on the lookout for your needs. His wife is an amazing cook. We had dinner at the B&B every night and must say it was among the best italian food we had during our holidays.
The B&B has a nice garden, with a small swimming pool where you can relax during the day.
All in all, a great place to spend a couple of days! Definitely something i would recommend.
I travelled alone and stayed 3 days longer than planned at Roseto, where I felt very much at ease. Massimo and Rosita were perfect hosts, with lots of humour, and I really enjoyed the room, the good food and services. I liked the many details in the house, the antique funiture, beautiful mirrors and wall decorated with fresco’s and trompe l’oeil. My bathroom had a jacuzzi and the massage sofa was perfect for my back after long hours of hiking. From the terrrace, the view of Assisi was amazing, even at night with all the little lights on. Food in the evening was well balanced and served with cure and sense for detail. No problem to travel from here, the bus stops every half hour at Roseto and brings you in 5 minutes to the station for Rome, Firenze or Perugia or up the hill to Assisi.I would love to be back and warmly recommend this place.
